Systems Designer

We're seeking a talented UX/UI Designer with deep expertise in design systems to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for building, evolving, and maintaining our design system while creating beautiful, consistent user experiences across our products. You'll work at the intersection of design and development, establishing the visual language and component standards that empower our teams to ship high-quality interfaces efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain a comprehensive design system that includes reusable components, patterns, guidelines, and documentation. You'll ensure consistency across all touchpoints while allowing for flexibility and scalability as our products grow.

• Design elegant, intuitive user interfaces that balance aesthetics with usability. You'll craft pixel-perfect components and interactions that delight users while adhering to accessibility standards and best practices.

• Collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and product managers to understand needs, gather feedback, and ensure the design system serves the entire organization effectively.

• Establish and document design standards, including spacing, typography, color systems, iconography, and interaction patterns. You'll create clear guidelines that enable teams to implement designs confidently.

• Advocate for design system adoption across the organization, providing training, support, and resources to help teams leverage the system effectively.

• Continuously evolve the design system based on user feedback, new requirements, and emerging design trends, ensuring it remains relevant and valuable.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design with at least 1-2 years focused specifically on building and maintaining design systems.

• A portfolio demonstrating your design system work, including component libraries, documentation, and examples of UI design that showcases your attention to detail and design quality.

• Strong proficiency in design tools such as Figma, with experience creating and managing component libraries, design tokens, and shared asset systems.

• Deep understanding of design principles including typography, color theory, layout, hierarchy, and composition, with the ability to create cohesive visual systems.

• Experience working with developers and understanding how design systems are implemented in code.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and create clear, comprehensive guidelines.

• A systematic thinker who can balance consistency with flexibility, and who understands how to create scalable solutions that work across multiple products and platforms.

Salary Range (commensurate with experience)
$100,000—$115,000 USD
