Systems Administrator I (SA1)
Location: NIWC Pacific – San Diego, CA
Salary Range: $60,000 – $76,000
Certification Required: Security+
Strategic Data Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator I to support enterprise IT systems at NIWC Pacific in San Diego. This position provides hands-on support for secure network environments, user account management, workstation configuration, and service desk operations across classified and unclassified systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, servers, and network systems
• Manage user accounts (Active Directory, LDAP, cloud platforms)
• Provide service desk support via phone, email, chat, and walk-up
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
• Support endpoint management tools, Microsoft 365, Teams, VPN, and related applications
• Ensure compliance with DoD Cyber Workforce (CWF) requirements
• Assist with secure laboratory operations and documentation
Qualifications:
• Active Security+CE certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
