The Role and Impact
Datacenter Group is seeking a highly motivated System Software Validation Engineer. To take this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Intel delivers high-quality software and platforms that power cutting-edge technologies. Your contributions will be integral to validating software across the stack for specific products, platforms, features, and technologies. With your expertise, you will design and develop software validation environments, integrate and enable software stacks, and elevate Intel's product release efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Integrate, validate, and debug software across the stack to ensure seamless functionality and performance.
- Design and develop software validation environments and methodologies to enhance automation and efficiency.
- Create and execute validation plans while analyzing results for correctness and triaging failures.
- Reproduce, investigate, and root cause issues (sightings), and drive them to closure through proactive, in depth debugging and close collaboration with cross functional stakeholders to analyze system-level issues and provide innovative solution.
- Recommend or develop corrective actions to address software anomalies and improve quality.
- Write validation standards and procedures that align with industry best practices.
- Employ state-of-the-art methods, especially AI assisted approaches to assess, improve, and automate validation processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience per business needs.
- 0-1 years of experience in software validation with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years with a Master's degree.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or Shell/bash for automation.
- Solid understanding of Intel architecture, operating systems, drivers, BIOS fundamentals, and firmware fundamentals, and also software testing methodologies, debugging tools.
- Experience with software test execution and planning across the SW-HW stack.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with hardware-software integration and full-stack debugging.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and solve complex technical problems.
- Knowledge of quality assurance strategies and validation environments.
- Strong AI awareness with practical experience in developing or applying AI based solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with fast changing requirements and complex stakeholder interactions.
