PRIMARY PURPOSE

• Have a strong understanding with Software Development, *nix & Networking Technologies.

• The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems engineer & enjoys keeping technical skills reasonably current, to the point that he/she can still contribute to architecture discussions.

• The candidate regularly would take part in deep-dive troubleshooting exercises and drive technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues.

• Have strong project & systems engineering experience.

• The successful candidate will collaborate to create technology roadmaps with the team.

• This will include helping innovate and invent new value-add services layered on top of our existing services.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with *nix systems (Unix / Linux admin knowledge)

• Experience administering application servers & webservers (WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Nginx etc.)

• Scripting experience in Unix / Linux & WLST

• Experience with system data & analytics

• Knowledge of Network fundamentals (including diagnostics with Unix / Linux tools)

• Ability to architect technology solutions & guide on system performance, sizing etc.

• Understanding of Application Performance Management tools

• Knowledge of Load Balancers (Big IP F5 – LTM, GTM, ASM etc.) is a plus

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Collaborative & team focus

• A strong technical foundation in build, release and environments

• Eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools & tricks are needed to get the job done

• Ability to occasionally work off-hours / weekends

Minimum Qualifications/Must Have:

• 8+ years of Technical Experience in J2EE Application Servers and Webservers

• 8+ years of experience with *nix systems

• Experience with Unix / Linux scripting

• Familiar with concepts of Networking & Load Balancing

• Excellent Communications & analytical skills

• Effective Time Management skills

• Effective People / Relation building skills
