The purpose of this position
Solution Consultants know the customers’ environment – Besides all the business processes they handle, they also develop specifications to be implemented based on customer’s requirements.
They advise customers regarding to aligning their specifications with Frequentis products as well as possible.
Your responsibilities
• Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments in collaboration with SW
• Development in connection with standard vs. extra features
• Participate in solution design and the corresponding cost estimation
• Perform gap analyses (to the existing FRQ product) and identify deviations and/or define necessary changes
• Configure the application
• Support test specifications development
• Support system testing and commissioning
Your tasks
• Create technical concepts including cost estimations and possible solution approaches with cost estimation in collaboration with Pre Sales and Product Management PDM
• Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments in collaboration with the Development department (System Architect) with regard to standard vs. extra features along the product roadmap
• Provide Sales with technical support during on-site meetings with the customer, supporting product management PDM with designing new product releases
• Analyse customer’s requirements and needs and advising customers
• Create specifications
• Minimize customer-specified SW development incl. calculating the technical concept and time required
• Implement the specification at the application level (e.g. configuration, customizing) technical interface to the external customer (Principal) and Product Management, Project Execution, Sales and Development (R&D)
• Map customer’s requirements (WHAT the customer needs) based on FRQ products (HOW we implement it)
Your profile
• Linux (RHEL)
• Scripting experience (shell, python, Java – would be an advantage)
• Comprehensive requirements management know-how - how to create a scope and customer requirement specification document
• ATM know-how would be an advantage
• IP networking know-how
• Consultancy skills - can guide customers through the products, is a trusted advisor and decision coach
• Capable of working under pressure
• Highly self-organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Good English skills (both written and spoken)
• Experience working in an Agile team
