System Engineer - L2
REQUIRED
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Conducting network assessments and making recommendations for network upgrades and improvements.
• Implementing and maintaining network and controls.
• Creating and maintaining network documentation, including network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Leading troubleshooting efforts for network issues.
• Collaborating with other IT teams to support business applications.
• In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure components like switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and network.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and diagnose network issues.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of escalated issues. Internet Protocols (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP), Internet Components (routers, proxies, gateways, servers), Technical Support, Customer Facing, Troubleshooting Skills
• May monitor and train junior engineers and act as subject matter experts for customer and AT&T organizations and lead complex programs or projects.
• Knowledge on WAN/LAN Technologies – Cisco, Juniper - Switches, Routers, WLC, WAPs
• Prioritize competing requests for technical assistance.
• Determine the course of engineering activities and help mediate escalated and expedited projects
• Determine feasibility of technical solutions.
• Assist in root cause determination of network and related problems.
• VoIP Call Manager skills – Cisco, Nortel, Avaya - Call Forwarding, Caller ID’s/CNAMs, Hunt Groups, Conferencing features, Time of day routing, Call groups, Call monitoring, audio and/or application-related issues, account issues.
• Shift Time : 24X7
DESIRED
• Excellent PC skills with advanced skills with MS Office, specifically Excel and Word.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems
• 5+ years of experience in the networking/telecommunications field.
• CCNA (Voice/Data) knowledge or certified.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Intermediate English
• Portuguese (preferred)
SCHEDULED & WORK SETUP
• Three shifts available:
• 3:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Mexico time) – Home office
• 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Mexico time) – On-site (TecnoParque, Mexico City)
• 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM (Mexico time) – Home office
INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).
If you are a foreingner residing in Mexico, you must have a valid INE, CURP, NSS and RFC.
Job type: ON SITE/ HOME OFFICE.
Location: TecnoParque- Azcapotzalco, Mexico City.
Salary: $35,000 gross
