System Engineer (English Speaking) (M/F/D)

everything running smoothly across Azure and VMware.

Location: Aveiro, Portugal

For this position, it is necessary to be available to come to the office at least 2x a week.

That’s what it’s about:
• Assess on-premises environments using Azure Migrate and develop  tailored migration strategies 
(rehosting, re-platforming, refactoring). 
• Plan  and  execute  migrations  from  on-premises  infrastructure  to  cloud  environments  (Azure, 
VMware, hybrid). 
• Deploy and manage Azure networking components such as NSGs, Firewalls, and VNETs, 
maintaining security and performance standards. 
• Manage and troubleshoot Azure VMs, networks, and cloud infrastructure. 
• Use tools like Azure Migrate and VMware HCX to support seamless migrations. 
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure minimal downtime and maximum performance. 
• Provide  technical  support  and  guidance  to  clients,  ensuring  cloud  environments  are  secure, 
scalable, and efficient. 
• Monitor  and  troubleshoot  cloud  systems,  implementing  best  practices  for  performance  and 
reliability. 
• Stay  up  to  date  on  Azure  advancements,  recommending  process  improvements,  and  leveraging 
new tools to enhance cloud migration efforts. 
• Maintain detailed system documentation and continuously improve infrastructure processes. 
• Bring strong technical, analytical, and supervisory skills with a collaborative mindset.

This is you:
3+ years of experience in system engineering or IT infrastructure roles. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud migration strategies. 
• Strong  knowledge  of  VMware,  Hyper-V,  Windows  Server,  Unix,  Active  Directory,  Horizon/Citrix, 
• and networking. 
• Experience with Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Application Gateways) and Azure Virtual Desktop. 
• Familiarity with cloud migration tools such as Azure Migrate or VMware HCX. 
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. 
• Good team player with a proactive and positive mindset. 
• English fluency (German and/or Portuguese is a plus).

Nice to Have: 
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305). 
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments. 
• Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
