Your tasks:
The System Design Engineer is responsible for delivering vehicle E/E features or functions requirements across various domains such as body, chassis, infotainment, ADAS, and powertrain systems. This role is responsible for defining system-level requirements, architecture, and interface requirements to ensure robust feature implementation across all the vehicle systems.
• Lead the definition, design, and development of E/E systems supporting vehicle functions such as lighting, central locking, power management, infotainment, and ADAS
• Translate product and regulatory requirements into clear, traceable functional and technical specifications
• Perform system requirements analysis using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to ensure completeness and consistency
• Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams, interface definitions, and feature/function mappings to support traceability and integration
• Collaborate with system owners and the testing team to ensure the integrated system meets functional specifications and performance targets
• Support the development of communication network definitions, including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet, as well as diagnostic strategies (e.g., UDS, OBD)
• Participate in system-level design analysis activities such as FMEAs and DFMEAs to assess and mitigate potential risks
• Lead or support system integration testing, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis during development and validation phases
• Ensure system designs comply with relevant automotive safety and regulatory standards, including ISO 26262 (functional safety), UNECE R10 (EMC/EMI), and others as applicable
Your profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in automotive E/E systems design
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to define, analyze, and manage complex E/E system requirements and architectures throughout the development lifecycle
• Strong understanding of automotive E/E architectures and in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Strong understanding of the MBSE method
• Experience with system requirements tools & design tools (e.g., PREEvision, Jama)
• Familiarity with feature/function development lifecycles and system integration principles
• Knowledge of diagnostics, calibration, and ECU communication protocols
• Solid understanding of automotive product development processes (ASPICE, V-model, or Agile)
• Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
