System Architect

We are looking for an experienced System Architect to join our team and lead the technical design and implementation of logistics solutions, with a strong focus on parcel sorting machinery and automation systems.

Your role in our team
You will define and develop comprehensive system architectures for logistics and parcel sorting systems, including mechanical and steelwork components.
You will design layouts and oversee the detailed engineering and integration of system components.
You will evaluate mechanical concepts in terms of feasibility and commercial viability.
You will specify, select, and integrate standard products and subsystems into full logistics solutions.
You will coordinate interfaces, interactions, and integration of system components to ensure seamless functionality.
You will validate and verify system designs against project requirements and compliance standards.
You will conduct on-site inspections and support commissioning of mechanical components.
You will provide technical feedback and lessons learned to the engineering and R&D teams.
You will mentor and guide junior team members as the department grows.

Your profile
You hold a degree in Mechanical, Automation, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
You bring at least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and system architecture within transport, logistics, or parcel sorting systems.
You are proficient in AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D for layout design and skilled in 3D design tools such as Inventor, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge.
You have solid experience in the conceptual and detailed design of steel structures.
You ideally have exposure to civil works and infrastructure design for logistics systems.
You are fluent in English; German is a plus.
You are a strong communicator, team player, and open to international travel.
