The Bosch Engineering Centre of Budapest has been established in 2001. Today, it is a major research and development hub within the Bosch world focusing on the big mobility trends: automated, electrified and connected mobility. More than 3500 engineers are working together on complex automotive products within various fields of engineering from software to mechanical and hardware product development. Your ideas will be part of products improving the life across the globe. 

 

• Define the system context and external interfaces
• Align system requirements with stakeholders and design the system architecture accordingly
• Support feasibility analysis of system requirements
• Define and document architecture drivers, goals, and key use cases
• Create system architecture and breakdown structure (sub-systems, internal interfaces incl. HSI, MHI)
• Evaluate alternative architectures, select optimal solutions, and document design decisions
• Define system and sub-system dynamic behavior
• Collaborate with cross-functional domains (Mechanical, Electrical, Software), mainly on interfaces
• Support engineering analyses (e.g., FMEA, FAM)
• Contribute to risk assessments and acquisition processes
• Identify and manage technical debt
• Integrate functional safety and cybersecurity requirements into system architecture
• Communicate with stakeholders, including customers
• Support system release documentation together with Project Leaders / Product Owners
• Tailor and improve processes based on architecture needs
• Monitor market, technology, and methodology trends and apply them in future architectures
• Present architecture to different audiences with varying technical backgrounds

• Degree in Engineering (Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical or similar)
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong experience in system architecture design (must-have)
• Background in automotive industry (must-have)
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN)
• Experience in system integration / application engineering
• Ability to create and explain complex designs clearly
• Holistic system thinking – understanding end-to-end system behavior and requirements
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Customer-facing mindset
• Fluent English (spoken and written, negotiation level)
