Overview of Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our Managed Services team. This role is critical in maintaining the security, stability, and automation of a complex hybrid environment. You will be the primary guardian of our customer’s infrastructure, ensuring all Windows and Linux assets are patched, secure, and deployed using modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
Core Responsibilities
1. Patch & Vulnerability Management
• Cross-Platform Administration: Manage the end-to-end patching lifecycle for both Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
• Vulnerability Remediation: Analyze scan results from tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7), prioritize risks based on criticality, and execute remediation plans.
• Compliance Reporting: Maintain detailed records of patching cycles and vulnerability status to meet strict Managed Services SLAs and audit requirements.
2. GCP Infrastructure Administration
• Cloud Operations: Provision, configure, and maintain resources within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, VPCs, IAM, and Cloud Storage.
• Cost & Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud health and implement scaling policies to ensure cost-efficiency and high availability.
3. Automation & Image Management
• Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Ansible to automate repetitive tasks, configuration management, and complex application deployments.
• Immutable Infrastructure: Develop and maintain automated machine image builds (Golden Images) using Packer for multi-cloud and on-premise consistency.

Hands-on experience with Ansible (playbooks/roles) and Packer.
Patching Tools
Experience with WSUS, SCCM, Azure Update Manager, or Linux-native tools (YUM/APT/Satellite).
Security
Strong understanding of CVEs, SSL/TLS, and hardening benchmarks (CIS/STIG).

• SLA Driven: Ability to work under pressure to meet "Time-to-Patch" deadlines.
• Customer Centric: Excellent communication skills for explaining technical risks and maintenance windows to stakeholders.
