Job Description

VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India.

VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for Senior System Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:

Skill set required:

• 6+ years of Linux/Unix experience

• Proven experience installing, performance tuning, system monitoring and managing Linux systems

• Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies.

• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and experience in trouble shooting and recovery

• Strong analytical skills

• Any Linux/Unix Admin certification, preferred.

• RHEL specific knowledge is needed.

• LDAP knowledge is needed.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Graduation with computer specialization

Relevant Certifications will add value

Roles and Responsibility

• Provide technical leadership and hands on management Linux environment.

• Responsible for all aspects of Linux administration including monitoring & management physical & virtual servers, backup and recovery, security, SAN and Database.

• Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from the monitoring tools.

• Monitor System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.

• Participate in Business continuity planning & execution

• Perform Hardware/software configuration; and management.

• Liaison with various teams and stake holders, operations personnel, and vendor service personnel on solutions and implementation specifics.

• Provide Technical support and general troubleshooting.

• Support the server platforms in various environments such as development, test staging and production environment.

• Manage and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity.

• Reports to project heads frequently.

Terms and conditions:

Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)

The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems – Bahrain and shall be deputed to one leading Organization in Bahrain.
