VAM Systems is currently looking for System Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:

Skill set required:

• 4+ years of Linux/Unix experience

• Proven experience installing, performance tuning, system monitoring and managing Linux systems

• Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies.

• Experience in Backup configuration and management, preferably, EMC Avamar Backup.

• Experience in JBoss Application server and deployments.

• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and experience in trouble shooting and recovery

• Strong analytical skills

• RedHat Linux certification, preferred.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Graduation with computer specialization

Relevant Certification s will add value

Roles and Responsibility

• Provide technical leadership and hands on management of Linux environment.

• Responsible for all aspects of Linux administration including monitoring, backup and recovery, security, performance management, and any project related activities including the management of Windows Servers.

• Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from the monitoring tools.

• Analyse System failure and recovery; ensuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.

• Participate in Business continuity planning.

• Perform Hardware/software configuration; and management.

• Liaison with various teams and stakeholders, operations personnel, and vendor service personnel on solutions and implementation specifics.

• Provide Technical support and general troubleshooting.

• Support the server platforms in various environments such as development, test staging and production environment.

• Manage and lead hardware and software migration and upgrade efforts of varying size and complexity.

• Manage Application server and deployments.

• Reports to project heads frequently.

Terms and conditions:

Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4 weeks)

The selected candidates shall join VAM Systems – Bahrain and shall be deputed to one of the leading Organizations in Bahrain.
