Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Sysadmin Intern to join our team. Do you want to gain hands-on experience across both IT Support/Helpdesk operations and critical DevOps/Infrastructure tasks?
If you have a solid foundation in basic IT and a strong desire to learn, don’t hesitate to meet us!
What will your daily life in Fluendo be like?
Office IT and Helpdesk Support
Asset Management: Maintain and manage the inventory of all IT assets (laptops, monitors, etc.). Assign equipment to new/existing users and keep the Sysadmin app/inventory up-to-date.
Onboarding & Equipment Setup: Configure and prepare workstations (laptops/desktops) for new employees, including installing Linux and Windows operating systems.
Office Infrastructure: Ensure smooth operation of essential office services, including internet connectivity, printing systems, and general network health.
Hardware Lifecycle: Monitor PC obsolescence (e.g., replacement after 4 years), coordinate with the manager for new purchases, update documentation, and manage the equipment handover process.
DevOps and Infrastructure Support
Continuous Integration (CI) Monitoring: Monitor the health and performance of our product-related GitHub CI systems.
Act as the first line of defense: check CI status, notify the QA team of failures, and actively work to identify and resolve root causes of issues that directly affect the product build.
Migration Project: Assist in the ongoing migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitHub Actions.
New Infrastructure Setup: Participate in setting up a complete testing infrastructure for our Thin Client/VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) partners (HP, Dell). This involves configuring codecs for decoding/encoding data to replicate bugs and provide value to clients.
Documentation & Improvement
Create, update, and improve IT and System Administration documentation to ensure knowledge is current and accessible.
The ideal person!
Education: Higher-level vocational degree in Networked System Administration (ASIX or equivalent technical background).
Hard Skills
Essential IT Knowledge: Basic IT skills, including PC formatting and troubleshooting (Windows).
Linux Fundamentals: Solid working knowledge of Linux (installation, basic configuration, and administration).
Highly Valued: Experience with Docker is a significant plus.
Soft Skills
Proactivity & Self-Learning: A strong drive to learn independently and take initiative.
Problem Resolution: Excellent patience, creativity, and a systematic approach to solving problems.
Language
Basic English comprehension is sufficient for technical documentation, although fluency is not required.
Conditions
Schedule: Preferably mornings
Flexibility: Primarily an office-based role, with the possibility of occasional remote work depending on project needs.
