CEL is an Irish based 40-year manufacturer, distributor and exporter of electrical switchgear and controls, and related products and services, now focused on the supplying the global Data Centre industry.
Operating from our newly acquired 400,000ft2 facility in Williamsburg, Virginia, we aim to double in size each year for the next three years.

Requirements:
The Wiring Team Leader will be responsible for leading and managing a team of electrical wiring operators in the assembly and wiring of all low-voltage (LV) equipment within CEL.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience, strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of LV electrical systems and industry best practices. This role involves ensuring project goals for quality, safety, and productivity are met while mentoring and training team members.
The role requires an exceptionally high level of attention to detail to ensure compliance to approved drawings and industry standards are met on a continuous basis. Maintenance of a safe, clean, and organized work environment which adheres to all safety regulations is a critical attribute for the role.
What You'll Be Doing:
Safety and Compliance:
· Enforce strict adherence to all company safety protocols and industry-standard regulations.
· Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards in the wiring process.
· Ensure the team uses and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for your team.
Team Leadership:
· Supervise and mentor a team of electrical GO’s, fostering a positive and productive environment.
· Assign tasks and provide clear instructions to ensure activities are completed efficiently and on schedule.
· Conduct regular quality checks on WIP and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and technical specifications.
· Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to team to support their professional development.
· Act as the main point of contact for the team, liaising with project managers, engineers, and other departments to resolve production issues and coordinate tasks.
Technical Expertise:
· Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to determine materials and installation procedures.
· Lead the installation, assembly, and termination of low-voltage components, busbars, and wiring within equipment enclosures.
· Perform comprehensive electrical inspections and testing of wiring and connections to ensure functionality and adherence to design specifications.
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues during the assembly process, troubleshooting complex electrical and control system problems.
· Ensure all low-voltage equipment is built to the precise requirements of data-centre environments, including knowledge of critical power infrastructure and load management.
Role Administration:
· Manage and track material and equipment usage, ensuring the team has the necessary tools and supplies.
· Complete and maintain accurate time allocation, including work orders, test results, and quality control reports.
· Provide regular progress updates to the Management Team and highlight any issues that may impact project deadlines.
· Participate in any root cause investigations to ensure accurate and timely assessment of quality issues which result in verifiable and robust corrective and preventive actions.
What You’ll Need:
· Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience in electrical wiring, at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Experience working on LV switchgear, with a strong preference for experience in the data-centre industry.
· High school diploma or equivalent is required.
