The SEC Tool (Secure Provisioning Tool) team develops Python‑based PC software that enables secure configuration, provisioning, and lifecycle management of NXP microcontrollers and processors.

You will work on the MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning Tool, collaborating closely with embedded, ROM, SDK, and security teams. The role focuses on PC‑side tooling, while maintaining a strong understanding of embedded devices and boot flows.

🔍 Responsibilities – What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and maintain SEC Tool features in Python for secure provisioning and device configuration
• Implement security‑related workflows such as trusted boot setup, key and certificate handling, lifecycle configuration, and onboarding flows
• Work with configuration data, scripts, and device interaction layers
• Debug complex issues spanning tooling, configuration, and device behavior
• Cooperate with test and validation teams to ensure release readiness and quality
• Follow established software development processes, coding standards, and security best practices

💻 Technical Knowledge – What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

• Experience or strong interest in Python development for PC‑based tools or automation
• Interest in security concepts and secure system configuration
• Basic understanding of microcontroller fundamentals and embedded systems
• Analytical mindset with solid debugging and problem‑solving skills
• Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken

➕ Nice to Have

• Experience with Python scripting, CLI tools, or GUI frameworks
• Familiarity with YAML / JSON / XML configuration formats
• Basic understanding of boot flows, provisioning, or device lifecycle concepts
• Experience working in Agile development environments
