The mission of the Sidewalk Program is to support the agency’s goal by providing for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people by making sidewalks safe and accessible for all pedestrians.
Under general supervision, the selected candidate will assist with the performance of community outreach and walk-throughs in planned pedestrian ramp upgrade areas; respond to routine sidewalk and pedestrian ramp complaints regarding on-going construction; participate in SIM booths at NYC events, such as Summer Streets; liaison to other city Agencies (DDC,DPR,etc) utility companies, and private construction firms regarding scheduling and the prevention of construction bottlenecks; answer phone calls regarding scheduled and on-gong construction and attend Community Board and Town Hall meetings.

Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
