Sustainability Engagement Associate

As Engagement Associate, you’ll support the sustainability engagement function with coordination, analysis, reporting, and project management. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll help turn strategy into action and ensure structured planning and follow-up across key sustainability engagement activities. This is a junior role with great potential to grow and develop for the right candidate 

Your responsibilities include:  

• Supporting the Head of Engagement with analysis, strategic planning including OKRs, quarterly follow-ups, and budget tracking 
• Supporting function administration and overall planning 
• Facilitating coordination and planning with other internal functions 
• Supporting internal and external engagement leads with event coordination, content creation, and engagement activities 
• Ensuring, communicating, and following up on engagement governance processes 
• Owning general updates to stakeholder groups​ 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH​ 

You’ll work closely with the Sustainability Engagement team, other Sustainability teams, and internal functions across H&M Group. You’ll also collaborate with external partners and industry organisations. 

WHO YOU ARE​ 

We are looking for a person with…​ 

• ​A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field 
• 1-2 years of experience from either corporate functions, consulting, sustainability, project coordination, or similar roles 
• An understanding of the fashion industry from a sustainability perspective 
• Experience supporting engagement activities, coordination, and reporting processes 
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills 
• The ability to communicate complex topics clearly 
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Copilot 

And a person who is…​ 

• Structured and reliable, with strong attention to follow-up and timely delivery 
• Collaborative, relationship-driven, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders 
• Curious, proactive, and eager to contribute to continuous improvement
