Position Overview:
Position: Part-Time Seasonal Position
Program Dates: 90 days (not to exceed May 31, 2026)
Hours: 20 - 25 hours per week
Estimated Hours: Average hours per week will be determined by the employee based on the schedule develop and their efficiency in completing tasks. Funding supports up to 29 hours of work per week.
Work Location:
Primarily on-site work at afterschool partner locations and community event venues throughout Palm Beach County. Office space provided per scheduled hours at FLIPANY’s Lake Worth or Dania office.
Position Description:
FLIPANY is seeking a detail-oriented Survey Support Specialist to assist with revising, organizing, and distributing surveys to youth participating in FLIPANY classes in Palm Beach County. This role supports FLIPANY’s program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts by ensuring surveys are clear, age-appropriate, well-organized, and administered consistently.
Qualifications
Experience with survey development, data collection, or program evaluation (education, public health, social services, or related fields preferred).
Comfortable working with children and youth in group settings.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow protocols related to confidentiality and data integrity.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to FLIPANY class sites within Palm Beach County.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with youth development, nutrition, physical activity, or school-based/community programs.
Experience working in diverse communities.
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and revise existing surveys to ensure clarity, accuracy, and age-appropriate language for youth participants.
Organize surveys by program type, age group, location, and reporting requirements.
Prepare surveys for distribution (paper and/or digital formats, as applicable).
Enter completed print surveys online.
Coordinate with FLIPANY program staff and site leads to schedule/administer surveys.
Distribute surveys to youth participants at FLIPANY classes in Palm Beach County, following established protocols.
Provide basic guidance to youth on how to complete surveys while maintaining neutrality and confidentiality.
Collect completed surveys and ensure secure handling and timely submission to FLIPANY staff.
Track survey distribution and collection to support accurate participation counts.
Identify and communicate any issues or opportunities for improving survey administration.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, sit, stand, hear, use hands to fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, and read and write English. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment, such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to extreme temperatures, sunlight, noise, dirt, and dust is common. Work may be performed on uneven surfaces. While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee must be able to lift, carry, and/or push articles weighing up to 50 lbs.
