Position Summary
Renaissance Dental Implant Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. Our practice specializes in high-end dental implant procedures and complete smile transformations under the leadership of one of the premier specialists in the state. This role works closely with the doctor during advanced surgical procedures while helping create an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Set up and provide instruments and materials to dentist during exams and procedures in order to help maintain patient comfort and dentist's efficiency
• Assist with dental and medical emergencies according to OSHA and office procedures
• Assist chair side during administration of nitrous oxide
• Instruct patients on recovery and after care procedures
• Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
• Clean and polish removable appliances
• Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients
• Record treatment information in patient records
• Take patient X-rays
• Must always represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner
• Must maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and time off policies
• Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically
Qualifications:
Previous experience assisting with oral surgical procedures including dental implants, is preferred.
Desire and willingness to learn and grow in dentistry
Positive personality, professional demeanor, and initiative
Passion for providing excellent patient care
Schedule flexibility (Monday- Friday, with some days starting early or ending later)
Bilingual (Spanish/ English) is a plus but not required
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking 80% Sitting 20%
Moderate noise levels from dental and other lab equipment
Medical, office, and lab setting
Minimum lifting requirements of 35 pounds in order to transfer equipment and pack and unpack supplies.
Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to examine and service patients.
