Position Summary:
Works under the supervision of the Manager of Surgical Services and/or the Clinical Coordinator of Surgery, to coordinate, purchase, and assure appropriate medical, anesthesia and surgery supplies are available prior to the department surgical procedures. Maintains ordering system which assures consistent level of optimum supply. Works closely with the Manager and ensures that all purchase orders have been approved and signed. Ensures that all supplies are in computer system with correct pricing and patient charge rates.
Will communicate issues and concerns to vendor representatives to assure quality products, timely arrival and best price.
Qualifications:
Prefer college courses in medical or business.
Prefer two years material management with expertise in medical supplies.
Requires computer skills: Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
Purchasing and receiving knowledge required.
Proven ability to organize, plan and problem solve effectively.
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal relationships and communication skills.
