Join SDR Care as a Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Hours: (Days) 36.25–37.25 hours per week / Nights 35.88 (rolling shift pattern)
Driving: Essential for community activities (Day roles only)
Contract: Permanent, full time or part time
Join SDR as a Support Worker to provide person-centred support to a young individual with autism, a learning disability, ADD, and episodes of dysregulated behaviour.
As a Support Worker, you’ll help the individual transition into their brand-new home, build independence, and enjoy safe, engaging daily experiences. This Support Worker role is ideal for someone who enjoys making a genuine difference every day.

Activities You’ll Support with:
Cinema trips and sound-related activities
Outdoor adventures: beach walks, Forest School, climbing trees, rope swings, and dens
Building large K'NEX structures up to 18ft
Theme parks, roller coasters, and car journeys (with some boundaries on music volume)
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centred support as a Support Worker, fostering independence while maintaining safety
Use positive behaviour support techniques to manage dysregulation
Maintain structured daily routines and assist with diary/planner
Work collaboratively as part of a small, skilled team
Uphold safeguarding, Mental Capacity Act principles, and best practice
Who We’re Looking For
Experience supporting individuals with complex autism, learning disabilities, or dysregulated behaviour
Strong safeguarding knowledge and emotional resilience
Calm under pressure, adaptable, and patient
Previous experience as a Support Worker in high-need or intensive settings is desirable
Positive, flexible approach with a sense of humour
PSB experience
