Are you a Supply Chain Manager looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact on cultural change in an innovative and rapidly growing SME manufacturer?
This is a superb opportunity to work in an ambitious, profitable and forward-thinking company based in Liverpool, fully committed to becoming best in class for supply chain management. You will be joining at an exciting period of development, change and strategic significance for the organisation.
Reporting to the CEO this is a newly created role where you will be autonomously responsible for creating and executing the supply chain strategy. You will lead a small team to manage the full end-to-end supply chain for the business (purchasing, customer service, planning and logistics), putting in best practice and creating an effective operation. Key to this will be the leadership of a successful MRP implementation.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
• Proven track record as a successful supply chain manager: preferably with earlier career experience in a wold class environment, prior to then taking what you have learnt and implemented change in a SME.
• Good understanding of supply chain processes and their interdependencies
• Understanding of supplier relationships and some experience of working with suppliers
• Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge and experience of using MRP systems (ideally Syspro)
• Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous
• Significant exposure to a “change environment” and conversant with managing and supporting people through change
• Implementation of ERP/MRP into a business – preferably as a lead, or major support to lead implementer.
