Reporting to the Director of Procurement and Quality, the Supplier Quality Specialist will play a key role in building and sustaining a strong Supplier Quality Management Program (SQMP) across GeoSpectrum’s supply base. This role is responsible for ensuring that suppliers consistently meet GeoSpectrum’s standards for quality, delivery, compliance, and risk management, while actively promoting continuous improvement and supplier development.
This position will help transition supplier quality from a reactive, issue‑driven approach to a proactive, data‑driven, and risk‑based program. By partnering closely with internal teams and suppliers, the Supplier Quality Specialist will support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and successful program execution in a dynamic and growing organization.

Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Program Development
Supplier Assessment & Qualification
Conduct initial and periodic supplier assessments to evaluate quality system maturity, regulatory compliance, production capacity, and overall supplier risk.
Maintain supplier risk ratings and the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
Ensure assessment findings are effectively integrated into sourcing decisions, inspection strategies, and audit planning.
Supplier Audits
Plan and perform risk‑based supplier audits, including both on‑site and remote quality system and process audits.
Document audit results, issue corrective actions, and verify the effective closure of findings.
Support customer, regulatory, and parent company audits that involve supplier quality activities.
Supplier Performance Monitoring
Establish and maintain key supplier performance metrics, including:
On‑Time Delivery (OTD)
On‑Quality Delivery (OQD)
Analyze performance trends, identify systemic issues, and escalate supplier underperformance as required.
Prepare and present supplier performance reports to internal stakeholders and leadership.
Corrective Action & Supplier Development
Manage and maintain the supplier Non‑Conformance Report (NCR) database.
Lead the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) process, including containment actions, root cause analysis, and verification of corrective action effectiveness.
Drive supplier development initiatives for high‑risk or underperforming suppliers.
Collaborate closely with Procurement to align corrective actions and improvement plans with contractual and commercial objectives.
Source Inspection & Risk Mitigation
Define source inspection requirements based on supplier risk level, product criticality, and historical performance.
Coordinate source inspections internally or through approved third‑party inspectors.
Ensure inspection results are reflected in supplier performance evaluations and risk assessments.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Serve as the primary quality interface between GeoSpectrum and its suppliers.
Partner with internal teams to identify supplier‑related risks early and mitigate impacts to cost, schedule, and quality.
Lead supplier‑related NCR investigations, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Post‑secondary education in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience
A minimum of two (2) years of project management experience
Possession of a valid Canadian passport
Physical Requirements
Ability to conduct on‑site supplier visits and utilize appropriate measurement and inspection equipment as required.
Security Requirements
All candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
