Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a key role in providing essential services for seeking a detail-oriented and professional Supplier Quality Engineer. You will conduct supplier audits and assessments, ensure compliance with quality standards, develop and implement quality control plans and programs for supplier materials. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our products and processes, contributing to our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Supplier Quality Supervisor, in this role you will maintain and update supplier quality documentation and records, ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements. In addition, you will be dealing directly with suppliers through generation of non-conformance reports (NCRs), identifying effective corrective and preventative actions.

This role would suit a determined problem-solver, who can think, develop, implement and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures. Able to identify failure modes in products and components from customers. Conducting corrective action audits within the Supply Chain and thorough inspections and tests. Evaluate product quality and compliance with standards, collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in supplier quality assurance or a related role
• Ability to read and interpret engineering product drawings and associated specifications.
• Previous experience gained within an engineering/manufacturing business preferably working to ISO9001 standard.
• Fluent English

The Successful Candidate:

• Working experience of core quality tools (PPAP/APQP, 8D Problem solving, Control Plan, etc..)
• Internal Audit training against ISO9001:2015 standard.
• Understand modern manufacturing philosophies i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and quality management software
• Demonstrates the ability to work in stressful situations with difficult clients who are focused on an expeditious resolution.
