• Manage PPAPs, including initial sample releases and First Article Inspections (FAIs), to support the release of new parts.
• Conduct supplier re‑qualification to maintain quality standards and support ongoing supplier development.
• Execute supplier development programs in collaboration with Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and other stakeholders.

• Lead resolution of critical supplier issues (“Hot Issues”) in coordination with Product Line/Site Quality, Engineering, and Project Management.
• Ensure robust supplier root‑cause analysis and identify internal improvement opportunities as needed.
• Manage planning and execution of audits, QQR reviews, and worst‑performing supplier action plans for your commodity.
• Verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) recovery processes in partnership with Commodity Lead Buyers and Site/Product Line teams.
• Provide regular updates and reports on the status of critical supplier issues to the SQD Responsible.
• Travel to supplier sites and Wabtec locations as required (up to 30%); role may be remote or hybrid.

What do we want to know about you?
