Pay Range: $20.35 – $28.49 per hour (based on experience)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Central Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a high-volume acute care environment. This leadership role is responsible for supervising sterile processing staff and ensuring all instrumentation and equipment are reprocessed in compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

This position is ideal for a certified sterile processing professional with prior leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced surgical services setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Central Sterile Processing department

• Ensure proper decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays

• Maintain compliance with Department of Health, Joint Commission, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, and AORN standards

• Coordinate staffing, workflow, and productivity to support surgical and procedural services

• Monitor quality assurance metrics and address process improvement opportunities

• Provide coaching, training, and performance management for sterile processing staff

• Ensure proper equipment maintenance and documentation

• Collaborate with operating room and perioperative leadership to support patient safety and case readiness

Required

• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) – required

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire

• Vocational or technical school graduate

Preferred

• Experience in a high-volume acute care or surgical services environment

• Strong knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
