The incumbent is responsible for the follow-up, analysis, and management of files related to attendance, absences, occupational injuries (CNESST), and gradual return-to-work programs. The role acts as a key resource for employees, managers, and internal partners, while ensuring compliance with collective agreements, internal policies, and legal requirements.
Responsabilities
• Ensure daily follow-up of attendance, absence, and leave files (illness, disability, and other authorized leaves) and act as a resource for supervisory teams.
• Analyze absenteeism trends and provide recommendations for corrective or preventive actions.
• Apply corporate policies and provisions outlined in collective agreements.
• Meet with employees, as needed, to discuss their attendance files and provide appropriate support.
• Manage occupational injury files in compliance with CNESST requirements and ensure required follow-ups with all relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate and monitor gradual return-to-work programs and workplace accommodations, whether temporary or permanent, based on individual situations.
• Act as a resource person and advisor to managers and supervisory teams.
• Work closely with Human Resources, Health and Safety teams, and union representatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and practices.
• Maintain employee files up to date and ensure the confidentiality of information.
• Produce reports, statistics, and performance indicators related to attendance and CNESST files.
• Perform any other related duties required to support operational effectiveness.
• Education in Human Resources, Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in employee file management, attendance management, CNESST, or occupational health and safety.
• Knowledge of a unionized environment and collective agreements (an asset).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and priority-management skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with tact, professionalism, and discretion.
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, autonomy, and proficiency with computer tools.
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.*
 
* A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
