Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) is seeking a Sustainability Intern to contribute to our Corporate and Public Affairs team. This position is best suited to an analytical thinker with strong communications skills, attention to detail and a keen interest in learning. Duties and Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Corporate and Public Affairs team to:
Build strategies and programs that target specific audiences such as members, stakeholders and other value chain representatives
Research relevant trends linked to sustainability, agriculture policy, food systems and communications
Prepare reports and deliver recommendations to expand and strengthen programming
Help coordinate projects with team members, external suppliers and like-minded partners
Draft briefs, correspondence, presentations and other communications items for internal and external audiences
Support the Sustainability Officer, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and other team members on related files emerging priorities
Qualifications and Skills:
Knowledge of or interest in sustainability and agriculture
Strong passion for communications
Skilled in writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines
Experience with Microsoft Office
Motivated, conscientious and reliable
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate or graduate studies in sustainability, ESG, communications or public affairs, preferably in third year of program or higher
Experience in a similar role
Fluency in both official languages is an asset
Working Conditions:
A standard workweek schedule working in a fast-paced environment
Position requires prolonged periods of sitting, use of a computer, and close attention to detail
