We are recruiting for the following position to join our Edmonton office:
Summer Students May-July 2027.

The Role
Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of corporate year ends, which includes compilation, review, and audit engagements.
Work with a team of professionals who assist individuals, businesses, not-for-profits and first nations with a wide range of accounting, assurance, and financial services.
Support a varying size of audit engagement teams with assessing the appropriateness of audit evidence on-sight and remotely.
Prepare financial statements under the various financial reporting frameworks.
Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, including related filings and schedules.
Meet deadlines as assigned by the Partners or Senior Staff Accountants.
Participate in education, training and professional development programs.
Work independently and in a team environment under the direction of the leadership.
Completion of additional ad-hoc administrative duties or assignments as required.
What You Will Bring
A university or college student pursuing an undergraduate degree (preferably BCom or BBA) meeting the CPA pre-requisites for the Professional Education Program.
Travel to client job sites is required. Must have reliable transportation locally and the ability to travel out of town for the work week.
Excellent communication, time management, and client service skills.
Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and able to prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines.
A team player who encourages the success of all.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic understanding of accounting software programs is considered an asset.
