Position Overview
The Mobilization Center is seeking a Summer Outreach Specialist for 2026. Starting in May, our Summer Outreach specialist will travel around the state to engage with votes on key political and civic issues including, but not limited to, social justice, conservation, equal rights, and fair elections.
The Mobilization Center is a values-driven, women-owned company specializing in field organizing and civic engagement across Alaska. For over a decade, we’ve helped campaigns reach and mobilize the communities that make this state strong!
We are looking for bold, self-motivated, and passionate individuals who want to work on campaigns that promote social justice and the well-being of all Alaskans. Position Type: Seasonal, Travel Opportunities, Hourly
Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 2pm-8pm
Location: Statewide
Regular Duties
Walk door-to-door in Alaska neighborhoods.
Represent TMC and partner organizations at events around the state.
Interview and engage registered voters about upcoming elections, candidates, and issues.
Record accurate data and work with leadership to ensure data quality.
Meet daily, weekly, and project-long contact goals.
Write daily narrative reports to the leadership team.
Comply with all procedures and policies outlined in The Mobilization Center Employee Handbook.
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by TMC Leadership Team
Requirements
Flexible, part-time availability
Comfortable working outdoors in a range of weather conditions.
Willing to travel to communities all around Alaska
Enjoy speaking with new people.
Comfortable discussing political issues with voters.
Ability to stay positive under stressful conditions.
Ability to handle moderate levels of rejection.
Strong communication skills and willingness to communicate issues as they arise.
Honest, reliable, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts.
No political experience required (though it is a plus!).
