Summer Internship- Foreign Policy, Intelligence and Data Analytics, Kapolei, HI (5039)

SMX is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Summer 2026 Internship within our local Kapolei, HI team! We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a passion for Foreign Policy, Intelligence and Data Analytics.

The SMX Summer Internship Program runs for nine weeks during the Summer Semester months. Summer Interns will be introduced to our winning culture through hands-on learning experiences and exposure to real business projects. This internship opportunity will offer various engagement and career development opportunities with SMX Executive Leaders, AND Networking Socials, and Community Volunteer Events. This internship may have onsite requirements to accommodate community events and networking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on a meaningful target project throughout the internship, culminating in a final project presentation to leadership.

• Engage in meetings, calls, and gatherings with your teams.

• Complete assigned trainings and tasks provided by your Supervisor

• Benefit from an assigned SMX mentor who will provide guidance, clarification and feedback.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

• A curious mind, a willingness to collaborate in a team environment, and openness to learning and trying new concepts.

• Strong critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to seeking knowledge and asking questions.

• Ability to contribute to research, analysis, and problem-solving using various tools and techniques.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.

• Willingness to embrace diverse perspectives and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas.

Internship Requirements:

• Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree from an accredited college/university (junior or senior level preferred)

• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/or higher.

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (note: US Citizenship may be required for work under DoD contracts).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications. The proposed salary for this position is:
$17—$22 USD
