Summer 2026 Undergraduate Internship

North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) in Highland Park, IL, is looking for undergraduate interns for the Summer 2026 Semester. Our Clinic’s mission is to provide accessible, quality, equitable, free legal services in the areas of domestic violence, housing, and immigration to give low-income, at-risk community members access to justice and the opportunity to live productive and secure lives.

A summer internship at NSLAC will give you a comprehensive understanding of the world of non-profit legal services. Summer interns will have the opportunity to shadow attorneys, assist in clinic outreach events, conduct research, and develop case management and advocacy skills. Interns may also assist in engaging our community partners, client base, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Demonstrated merit in their undergraduate studies. 

Expressed interest in pursuing a future career in public interest law or non-profit work. 

Able to dedicate between 15-25 hours per week to the internship.  Hybrid opportunities are available depending on your assigned practice area.

Ability to complete assignments on time with a high quality of work.
