Mission 

Join our CIMA+ Labrador City office reporting to project engineers and the project manager on both greenfield and brownfield projects! The approximate duration for this work placement will be 4 months.  

Main Responsibilities 

• Complete site visits to document existing conditions in both greenfield and brownfield heavy industrial projects  
• Assist in electrical detailed design / analysis (related to electrical layouts, single line diagrams, connection/ wiring drawings, load calculations, etc.) for major utility/industrial clients.  
• Assist in industrial automation design (Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, PLC programming, Function specifications, etc.)  
• Participate in detailed drawing creation and review. 
• Produce construction documents, such as scope of work, bill of materials, and schedules  
• Complete projects from Kick-off through completion of Construction and Commissioning 

• Enrolled in an electrical engineering program   
• Valid Canadian Driver's License is required  
• Passing pre-hire fitness for work (i.e. medical test) 

Remuneration will include  

• Rate of pay according to our Interns salary range, based on relevant experience with a 37.5-hour work week.  
• Air travel to and from Labrador City will be provided at the start and end of the work term  
• Company vehicle will be provided throughout the work term (shared)  
• Accommodations will be provided in Labrador West  
• $45 per diem will be provided each day, including weekends 

The salary for this position ranges from $21.40 to $23.95 per hour, depending on your academic profile, the number of credits earned, and your previous co-op or internship experience. The final offer and salary may be adjusted based on your unique profile.
