Job Description
Application Deadline 2/28/26
Engineer the Details. Shape the Vision.
At Vonmod, we craft more than cabinetry - we create custom solutions that elevate modern residential architecture. Rooted in Colorado and fueled by creativity, we’re a tight-knit team of designers, engineers, and makers who thrive on challenge, collaboration, and doing things the right way.
Our purpose is simple but powerful: make life easier for our clients and their project teams.
Our niche? Architect led, Designer-driven, custom modern cabinetry.
And our 10-Year Target? To become the trusted partner for every leading designer and builder in Denver and select Colorado communities by 2034.
If you’re excited to bring complex projects to life with a communicative, quality-obsessed team that values process as much as creativity—you’ll fit right in.
Position: Studio Engineer
Location: Denver, Colorado
Reports To: Head of Studio
Department: Studio
The Studio Engineer is the technical backbone of Vonmod’s studio—transforming conceptual designs into client approved 3D models and shop drawings, as well as production ready work orders. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and Production teams to ensure our custom cabinetry is as buildable as it is beautiful.
You’ll love it here if you:
Thrive in a team culture, where collaboration extends across departments and project teams
Are fully engaged, showing up with discipline and commitment until the job is done
Sweat the details—because being detail-oriented is in your DNA
Embrace a growth mindset, learning through feedback and iteration
Feel a passion for the challenge, pushing your limits to deliver at the highest level
What You’ll Do:
Drafting & Engineering
Develop material, door, and assembly schedules
Create precise 3D manufacturing files
Build annotated shop drawing sets for production
Issue redline updates based on feedback from PMs and clients
Prepare, adjust, and finalize models for production
Post work orders and work order instructions for production & install
Track and resolve post-production or install remill requests
Studio & Software Support
Assist with software licensing and standardization
Help develop and test new Cabinet Vision tools
Support company-wide consistency in modeling tools and methods
Assist with general studio and showroom upkeep
PM Support & R&D
Sync Cabinet Vision models into Innergy (ERP) and building Bill of Materials (BOM)
Help lead pre-production meetings
Draft and direct prototype builds; research and test new hardware specs
Cross-Platform Learning
You’ll be cross-trained in Production and Installation during onboarding to understand our full operations
May occasionally assist in other departments to maintain a cohesive flow of work
What You’ll Need:
4+ years of experience in 3D modeling, architectural drafting, or construction documentation
Experience with Cabinet Vision and Rhino 3D or comparable digital modeling software
A working knowledge of high-end residential cabinetry or construction
You’ll be a great fit if you:
Can own your role across key functions in the Accountability Chart:
Drafting & detailing
Project support
Studio software coordination
R&D prototyping
Cross-functional collaboration
Can deliver consistently within clear processes:
Issue shop drawing sets on time
Respond to redlines before deadlines
Ensure accurate production handoffs
What Success Looks Like:
Each week, you’ll track and be supported on key scorecard numbers:
100% timely delivery of engineering drawings
100% redline resolution prior to production
100% accuracy in cross-department handoffs
At Vonmod, EOS Isn’t Just a Framework—It’s How We Lead
That means you’ll work with leaders who:
Give clear direction and delegate with trust
Make sure you have the tools you need
Communicate expectations and feedback regularly
Hold consistent one-on-ones to check in and grow with you
Recognize your wins and reward progress
Apply if you’re ready to:
Engineer beautiful things that get built
Join a communicative, detail-driven team
Stretch your skills and grow your craft
Help us shape what high-end cabinetry can be
Let’s build something great together.
