The Fairmont Student Work Experience Program offers current Culinary students the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a world-class hotel environment. You will work alongside seasoned professionals, applying your classroom learning in a real-world setting, and develop the practical skills essential for a successful career in the luxury hospitality industry.

To be eligible, Students must be enrolled in a Culinary program at the time the program begins.

Start Date: April/May 2026

End Date: September 2026

Job Duties Include:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning produce, meats, and other food items. Delivering food items for functions to various areas in the hotel.
• Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organized prep station throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and prevent contamination
• Other reasonable duties as assigned

Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant experience.

• Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen an asset
• Previous H&S & WHMIS an asset
• Required to be enrolled in a Culinary program
