12-Month Fixed-Term Maternity Cover
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Student Services Administrator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This vital role sits at the intersection of student support and institutional compliance, ensuring our students receive exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and regulatory compliance.
As our Student Services Administrator, you'll be responsible for the full student lifecycle - from enrolment through to graduation - while ensuring accurate and timely reporting to TEC. You'll work closely with academic staff, senior management, and most importantly, our students, providing the administrative backbone that enables our institution to deliver outstanding educational outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing new and re-enrolling student enrolments with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance with programme regulations.
Managing the Student Management System, including entering student details, NSI numbers, and maintaining comprehensive electronic student files.
Processing enrolment variations, course changes, withdrawals, and refunds efficiently and accurately.
Maintaining systems for recording and processing final course grades following Committee approval.
Determining graduation eligibility, coordinating with Academic Committee, and managing certificate requests.
Preparing and submitting Student Data Returns (SDR) to TEC according to schedule, including trial validation and student completions.
Providing statistical reports and administrative support for programme delivery and external body liaison.
Issuing academic transcripts and producing class lists for academic staff.
Ensuring TEC compliance and adherence to NZQA registration and accreditation requirements.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
A relevant undergraduate qualification.
Advanced Excel skills and data management capabilities.
Excellent understanding of TEC and NZQA rules and regulations.

Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage peak workloads.
Professional approach to handling confidential information.
