Student Ministry Worship Leader
Part-Time (Up to 25 Hours/Week)
Catalyst Church is seeking a passionate and skilled Student Ministry Worship Leader to design, develop, and lead dynamic weekly worship experiences for our Student Ministry. This role is ideal for a gifted musician who loves Jesus, loves students, and thrives in building and leading teams.
Role Overview
The Student Ministry Worship Leader will be responsible for shaping the worship culture within our middle and high school environments by recruiting, training, and leading student worship teams and creating engaging, Christ-centered worship experiences each week.
Primary Responsibilities
Design and lead weekly student worship experiences
Recruit, develop, and disciple student worship team members
Build and lead a student worship team with excellence and spiritual intentionality
Plan worship sets in alignment with Student Ministry themes and teaching direction
Lead rehearsals and services with clarity, preparation, and flexibility
Collaborate with Student Ministry staff and volunteers
Model spiritual maturity, humility, and leadership both on and off the stage
Schedule & Time Commitment
Up to 25 hours per week
Essential commitments:
Sunday evenings during school calendar (Regular Student worship experiences)
Thursday evenings (assist and/or perform with the Thursday Night adult worship team)
Special events for students including church-wide
Additional office hours, planning time, and rehearsals to be scheduled where available
Compensation/Benefits
$15–$16 per hour to start, based on experience and qualifications
This role is not benefit eligible
Qualifications
A strong, growing relationship with Jesus Christ that is aligned with Catalyst Church’s mission and values
Proven experience leading high school worship teams
Highly skilled musician capable of covering guitar, bass, keys, and drums
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Ability to mentor and develop students musically and spiritually
Dependable, organized, and collaborative
