Student Intern – Lean Manufacturing

 

 

We are seeking a motivated Lean Manufacturing Summer Intern to support our continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will work closely with our operations and engineering teams to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement Lean principles to optimize production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in identifying and analyzing production inefficiencies using Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, SMED)
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste and improving process flow
• Collect and analyze data to measure process performance and recommend improvements
• Participate in Lean training sessions and contribute to team problem-solving initiatives
• Assist in the implementation of 5S workplace organization and visual management systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to drive productivity and efficiency improvements
• Document findings, create reports, and present recommendations to leadership

• Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred, but not required)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Term: Monday, May 4, 2026 to Friday, August 28, 2026

Pay rate: $20 to $22.50 per hour
