Credence has an immediate opening for an experienced Student Information System Support Specialist who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Engineering & Management (AFIT/EN) directorate at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

AFIT's Graduate School of Engineering and Management focuses on high-quality graduate education and research. EN works on the leading edges of the technological disciplines that keep the Air Force dominance in defending the nation. The Graduate School provides graduate degrees and certificates in engineering, applied science, mathematics, and management. The appeal for the school’s distinct educational opportunities is widespread and attracts high quality students from the other United States (US) armed services, Government agencies both inside and outside the Department of Defense (DoD), coalition countries, and US citizens (civilians) from across the country.

In support of this mission, the graduate school offers a variety of programs leading to the award of master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as graduate certificate programs. AFIT/EN maintains a strong applied research component through our research centers, some of which have been nationally recognized by the Air Force. The graduate school is unique among graduate schools in the country: it is a graduate-only, research-based institution – in the company of only a very small number of other institutions in this category. Being a graduate-only institution provides our students with desirable advantages: a more personalized educational experience with a student to faculty ratio of approximately 6:1 in MS/MA programs; academic programs with focus; and research with real-world relevance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below

• Provide four main areas of support: student support, faculty support, technical support, and maintenance.
• Implement the recommendations made to ensure the software is performing at maximum efficiency to meet the AFIT mission requirements.
• Use user documentation and training materials to prepare presentations which can be used to conduct training sessions with the appropriate staff members, including, but not limited to, AFIT staff, departmental administrative support personnel, heads and deputies, faculty, both instructional and advising, and students.
• Manage all aspects of the SLcM Student Information System. This includes, but is not limited to, training, testing, and providing input on ways to use the system more cost effectively.
• Work with the various AFIT Schools, and various other personnel and will develop written training materials as requested.
• Provide student information system support to residence and distance learning students.
• Provide support for business processes and operations management for AFIT.
• Provide student support including administrative assistance in areas such as application, admission, enrollment, registration.
• Provide faculty with help and assistance in establishing and troubleshooting problems with student SIS accounts.
• Interface and work with SIS support individuals within other schools and Air University.

Requirements:
• Clearance: NACI
• BS/BA degree in higher education or related field
• Extensive, hands-on work experience with the Student Lifecycle Management System student information system, including enrollment management (recruitment / admissions / registrar / financial aid) functionality, file structure and coding mechanisms
• Hands-on Student Lifecycle Management System experience in enrollment management (admissions/registrar)
• Experience to utilize the Student Lifecycle Management (SLcM) Student Information System (SIS) to perform administration, development, execution, facilitation, and sustainment of AFIT’s SIS operations
• Knowledge of the structure of the SLcM software to enable analyses of AFIT processes and to prepare recommendations for system modifications and process improvements
