As a student assistant in Website Support, you will support the ongoing development of the WHU websites, provide first-level support for minor website issues, and work closely with an experienced web and marketing team. You will maintain and update content, assist with technical and editorial tasks, and help ensure the reliable management of the online presence of an internationally renowned business school. At the same time, this position offers an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on experience with content management systems and insights into web development and digital workflows. The position is a ‘mini-job’ and is limited in time for one year (with option of extension).
Your mission:
• Monitor and manage incoming requests in the website support ticket system, primarily during afternoon hours
• Respond to and resolve standard website-related support tickets in a timely, professional, and service-oriented manner
• Identify, prioritize, and escalate complex or technical issues to the appropriate internal stakeholders
• Ensure clear, polite, and solution-oriented communication with internal requesters
• Track ticket status and ensure follow-up until resolution
• Support basic documentation of recurring issues and common requests
• Contribute to smooth and reliable website operations through proactive support
Your profile:
• Completed degree or enrolled student in a communication-related degree program, such as Communication Studies, Media Studies, Journalism, Anglistik, Germanistik, or a comparable field
• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
• Strong service orientation and high responsiveness
• Structured working style with the ability to handle multiple requests in parallel
• First Experience with a Content Management System (CMS) and/or ticketing systems is an advantage
• Strong written communication skills
• Availability primarily in the afternoons on working days
• Interest in digital platforms and web operations is a plus
