Student Assistant – Carbon Footprint Improvement

Your tasks:
Meo Carbon Solutions is an independent consulting company focusing on sustainability advancement. Our activities and impact are expanding and our teams are growing exponentially since the last 2 years. This is why the Carbon Footprint Improvement Team of experts are looking forward to welcome you as  Working Student at Meo headquarters in Cologne. If you are passionate about sustainability and would like to join our highly motivated and diverse teams to make a difference, we are looking forward to your application!

You will support the Carbon Footprint Improvement (CFI) Team with research, customer presentations and the development of the GHG calculator in projects. Additonally to support in marketing and communication activities of the team and the company. Your main duties will be:
• Perform data research, analysis and evaluations for specific customer requests and the preparation of reports and market studies 
• Perform benchmarking analysis for GHG projects 
• Support the CFI team in development of GHG calculators for biofuel supply chains, coffee supply chains and other commodities
• Support the CFI team in preparing presentations at public, national and international trainings and events. Deliver internal presentations, if required
• Support in marketing and communications activities of the team and the company (e.g., website content updates and LinkedIn posts)

Your profile:
• Enrolled student at a German university with an availability of 16-20 hours per week for at least one year (preferably longer), in the area of sustainability, environmental sciences, agriculture economics, engineering, renewable energy, business or another related field
• Experience in sustainability field is a plus, such as basic knowledge performing LCA calculations, basic knowledge of GHG protocol, EU legislations (e.g., RED, CSRD) etc.
• Excellent communication skills in English (at least C1), Spanish skills are a huge plus, and additional languages will be of advantage
• Basic knowledge in marketing and communications
• Very good PC and Office user skills, and general IT proficiency
• Demonstrates very good analytical and research capabilities, as well as communication skills, with a high level of discretion, attention to detail, approachability, and intercultural competence
