Student Assistant – Carbon Footprint Certification (CFC)

Your tasks:
Meo Carbon Solutions is an independent consulting company focusing on sustainability advancement. Our activities and impact are expanding and our teams are growing exponentially since the last 2 years. This is why the New Markets Certification Team of experts are looking forward to welcome you as  Working Student at Meo headquarters in Cologne. The role has the objective for topics related to sustainability certification, Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), with a special focus on ISCC Carbon Footprint Certification (CFC).

Your main duties will be:
• You will support the New Market Certification team with general project work and tasks, including revision of PCFs, preparing presentation and reports, general research tasks, research of emission factors and development of Excel-based PCF calculations
• You will support research activities for different areas related to sustainability certifications and PCFs, including topics such as, biogenic materials and renewable energy
• You will support the team in preparing presentations and slides for trainings or customer communications
• You will support the team in communication with different internal and external stakeholders

Your profile:
• Enrolled students at German Universities in the area of sustainability, environmental sciences, agriculture economics, engineering, renewable energy, business or another related field
• Availability of 20 hours/week for at least one year and available for on-site presence in the Cologne office at least twice per week
• Knowledge PCF (ISO 14067) and LCA (ISO 14040/44), and experiences with sustainability certification will be a huge plus
• Very good working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Excellent language skills in English (at least C1), German and other language skills are of advantage
• Very good research skills
• Excellent eye for detail, ability to understand and explain complex issues in simple terms
• Excellent communication skills, especially in international environments
• Excellent analytical thinking abilities combined with an independent working style and pragmatic and hands-on attitude
• Supportive and dedicated team player
