Job Title: Student Academic Services Teacher
Department: Student Academic Services
Job Type: 10-Month Contract, Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Student Academic Services
Work Schedule: Academic Year Per Contract (Inservice begins July 31,2026)
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The major responsibility of this role is to consistently teach and model what it means to think in a Christ‐like way before his/her students and additionally, provide support services necessary to educate all students to ensure that they meet Indiana's academic standards. This will be completed through a Biblical worldview to guide the students into becoming developed, mature and responsible believers to the glory of God.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in education or related field from an accredited college or university
A valid Indiana Teaching License is required (special education mild interventions a plus)
A minimum of two (2) years of successful teaching experience is required

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interventionist
Prepares learning plan and implements engaging delivery of instruction based on students’ needs
Provides high quality data-driven instruction to specific students to meet academic goals and standards
Supports students in the classroom via push-in model
Monitors, reports, and communicates student progress through data and monitoring tools
Uses identified research-based interventions focuses specifically on individual students needs
Establishes and maintains standard of pupil behavior and creates a safe, orderly and effective environment for learning
Participates in conferences as requested to report student progress
Assists with the universal screening and evaluation of students
Organize cumulative student files documenting learning plans, implementations, and progress
Collaborates with teachers and Student Academic Services coordinator on strategies and interventions
Participates in monthly grade level meetings
Participates in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student and progress
Maintains data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress
Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress
Assist with identifying students for placement intervention groups
Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed
Provides input for program development
Participates in school-wide, professional development, and continues to grow to maintain industry best practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Indoors 90% of the time; must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time while working with a PC, and must be able to move supplies, copier paper, up to 35 pounds. Must be able to assist children for health and safety reasons.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Exposure to the elements when crossing campus. Change in temperature/humidity; potential for excessive noise, using computer/monitor screen; Average classroom with exterior windows.
