Structural Steel Project Manager

We are seeking a Structural Steel Project Manager to join our Steel division based in Norfolk, MA and managing projects throughout the U.S. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to assume overall project responsibility. This person and their team ensures projects are constructed on time, on budget, and in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The role entails a combination of office and field responsibilities to guide project teams in the planning and erection of various structural steel projects nationwide. Responsibilities:
Safety – Facilitate coordination with Safety Manager and Project Team to ensure all safety protocols and procedures are met
Planning – Coordination with the Operations Manager, General Super, and FM for Operation Plan completion and adherence during the work.
Schedule – Develop and Maintain Project Schedule
Communication – Manage all Project Correspondence internally and with Owners, Subcontractors and Suppliers
Budget – Maintain Project Budget, update Cost Projections, track, price, and negotiate Change Orders/Extra Work, Project Billing
Quality Control – Confirm all work is completed per Plans, Specs. and Operations Plans
Guidance & Delegation – Trains, develops, and manages subordinates
Required education and skills:
10 years project management experience in the steel industry in both fabrication and erection.
Effective Communicator: can demonstrate empathy, represent the Company professionally, and able to listen, interpret, and provide direction well.
Team Management & Leadership: focus and guide the team to win, promote accountability, takes the lead on issue resolution, effective trainer that can develop subordinates.
Neat, organized and detail oriented.
