Job Description
We are looking for a Structural Project Manager to support commercial and large-scale residential projects in the Austin area. This role is responsible for managing multiple structural engineering projects from early design through construction administration while working closely with internal engineering staff and senior leadership. The position requires strong technical expertise, effective project coordination, and the ability to guide projects from concept through completion.
Responsibilities
• Manage multiple structural engineering projects from conceptual design through construction administration
• Perform structural engineering calculations and assist in preparing construction and contract documents
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain project schedules, deliverables, and technical documentation
• Supervise and support engineers in training and technical staff assigned to projects
• Review drawings, calculations, and project documents for quality and accuracy
• Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders regarding project status and technical matters
• Assist in resolving engineering issues during design and construction phases
• Support construction administration by reviewing submittals and responding to project inquiries
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering required
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred or required depending on licensure path
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience
• Minimum of 2 years in a project management or project lead role
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required for certain project responsibilities
• Experience supporting commercial and large-scale residential structural projects
• Proficiency with structural engineering design software
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• U.S. citizenship required
