We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial and institutional buildings in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is responsible for structural analysis, design documentation, client coordination, and supporting project execution from early planning through construction. The position works closely with multidisciplinary design teams and may lead smaller internal engineering teams on active projects.
Responsibilities
• Perform structural engineering design and analysis for vertical building structures
• Serve as Engineer of Record on applicable structural design projects
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documentation
• Support pre-design activities including data gathering, planning, conceptual design, and structural system selection
• Assist with proposal preparation, project budgets, and scope development
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals and shop drawings, and support construction administration activities
• Conduct site observations and prepare engineering reports during construction phases
• Participate in structural investigations, condition assessments, and failure analyses
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal quality control reviews
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field
• 6+ years of structural engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license required or ability to obtain Oklahoma licensure within 3 months
• Experience designing structural systems for commercial or institutional buildings
• Proficiency with structural calculations and analysis methods
• Experience using Revit or similar structural design software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams
• Comfortable working in deadline-driven environments with occasional overtime
• Ability to conduct site visits and perform field observations when required
