We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and delivery of municipal, commercial, and infrastructure projects in Mount Laurel, NJ. This full-time position focuses on developing safe, efficient, and code-compliant structural systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in structural analysis and building design, and motivated to work on a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, infrastructure, and public works projects
• Design structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
• Prepare detailed engineering calculations, technical drawings, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with applicable IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, and local building codes
• Review plans for constructability, structural integrity, and code compliance
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, MEP engineers, and project stakeholders
• Participate in design reviews, construction coordination meetings, and site visits
• Assist with quality control procedures and engineering best practices
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining schedules and deadlines
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Experience in structural design for municipal, commercial, or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of building codes, structural standards, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency with structural analysis and drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD, SAP2000, RAM, ETABS, or similar)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Experience with public works or government projects in New Jersey
• Familiarity with construction administration and field inspections
