Structural Engineer

We are looking for a ​Structural Engineer​ in support to ATG Engineering for one of our locations in either Noordwijk, The Netherlands, Barcelona, Spain or Frascati, Italy. Please be aware that this position will initially be for a definite period of 9 months, with the possibility of extension.

Please note, the successful candidate will be employed by ATG Europe (or one of its subsidiaries). Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage).

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

• Conceptual and detailed design of Structures and Mechanisms;

• Modeling and analysis of spacecraft hardware using FEM and other methods;

• Generation, review and/or negotiation of requirements/specifications, development plans, verification plans, test plans and test procedures;

• Participation in MAIT campaigns, as the responsible structural engineer;

• Model correlation in relation to test data;

• Documentation of the work, and presentation and justification of the work in reviews;

• Direct interfacing with customers on technical level when needed;

• Supervision and mentoring of junior colleagues;

• Participation and active contribution to team and company development, e.g., generating/supporting novel technical ideas/innovations, new processes/methods, new ways of work and positive work culture;

• Contribute to commercial activities including (technical) proposal preparation and offers.
