Full-Time Permanent Position
Salary Range: $110-150K

JMT Consultants is a North American-based global leader specializing in steel and concrete design solutions. Services include pre-construction modeling, structural design support, steel and concrete detailing, connection and stair engineering, panel book detailing, estimate modeling, and BIM management. We are looking for a Structural Engineer with excellent mathematical, IT, and analytical skills is detail-oriented, creative, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
To ensure success, the candidate must be accurate, commercially aware, and have excellent communication skills with a keen interest in ensuring the safety and physical integrity of buildings and other large structures. Top candidates will have tremendous project and budget management skills with excellent knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
What you’ll do:
Design, analyze, and review structural components and systems for various projects
Will work on CISC & AISC projects. AISC projects will be led by our US company
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop innovative solutions
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards
Participate in project meetings and contribute to the decision-making process
What makes you stand out:
An advanced understanding of relevant building codes, materials, and standards.
Enthusiasm and desire to succeed and develop technical skills
Excellent communication skills are required, both verbal and written
Software skills with any of the following are a plus: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, Bluebeam, RISA Suite, Revit and Ram Connection
Attention to detail, logical problem-solving skills, and strong organizational skills
Passion for steel and concrete design and growing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is a plus
PE (P.Eng.) certification
4+ years of structural engineering experience
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Must be able to travel to the USA
